Received this in the mail yesterday. Watched it with the commentary on. The transfer is great, which isn't surprising since the DVD release was as well, and I believe the commentary states that its from the same master. I'm curious if you can see Yongary pick up and throw that civilian during his initial rampage on the dvd, because its pretty easy to miss that he has him in hand in the bluray let alone see him tossed to the ground.
The commentary has a lot of historical context particularly about the relationship between Japan and Korea, which makes some scenes in the movie a bit more interesting, particularly when Yongary destroys a government building but is pulled away from destroying the pagoda national monument. A tidbit at the end of the commentary seems to say that Yongary actually survives at the end of the movie. Need to relisten to that because I was doing a bit of multitasking at the time.
Anyway, worth the money. The movie seemed a bit more enjoyable without listening to the dub.
