Postby TheXFilter » Tue May 21, 2013 11:27 am

Hi

I've purchased the italian release, but anyone knows if the japanese edition will be restored, or will be the same master than the italian one?

Thanks

I would assume Tsuburaya would treat it like their Ultra properties and do a restoration on it.

Finally got the Japanese edition. The master same the same (not remastered) but the japanese edition features more contrast and more definition (5 episodes on a DVD9), a little better than the italian edition (8 episodes on a DVD9) but no great differences.

Japan version: more definition (more grain) and more contrast. Audio japanese only. 35$ per volume (8 volumes)

Italian version: less contrast and definition. Audio japanese & italian. Subtitles in Italian: 40 $ all complete series.

A little comparison, first the italian version, later the japanese:
