I'll further the shame. The only 4 films I feel the need to own of Kurosawa's are Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Seven Samurai and Ikiru. 3 of those are on blu ray already...just waiting for the Ikiru blu ray someday.

Now, if we can just get Disney to release all of Miyazaki's films on blu ray that's some news I'll really get excited over. :D

Looking forward to it, but I do miss the RKO intro that was featured in the VHS Criterion I bought years ago (and still have).


Very surprised some of you have only touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Kurosawa films. "Seven Samurai" is obvious, but other good ones that have yet to be mentioned here are "Stray Dog", "The Quiet Duel", "Throne of Blood" and "High and Low", in which you had Messer's Honda, Tsuburaya and Ifkube also involved on some of those movies.
