^ What he said.

I still collect Toho/obscure monster/horror/cult flicks on VHS, but I don't go out of my way to get them. Sometimes you get lucky, and will find a lot of tapes of just that kind of stuff.

A couple of years ago, I found a ton of Godzilla VHS's from the 80's, many of which I first rented 'back in the day'. New World's release of MECHAGODZILLA '74 and Vestron's GODZILLA KOTM were among them. I also snagged the rare Video Yesteryear release of DOGORA under it's original U.S title DAGORA THE SPACE MONSTER.

The AIP YOG isn't too bad, but it's not a Titra/Titan dub. The company isn't credited in the film, but it's definitely dubbed by the same people in Rome who dubbed all those hundreds of pepla/Hercules films from the 60s and 70s.

I used to have comparison videos of almost all the alternate dubs on YouTube before Toho pulled my account (the only ones I didn't have were the international GARGANTUAS, which I don't have, and X FROM OUTER SPACE). I've tried to upload some since then, but they get taken down. I'll try to get them up on my Daily Motion account when I get a chance. :D

Nobody seems to take into account that HEDORAH and SPACE AMOEBA's international dubs were done by largely the same outfit behind the generally accepted and loved GIGAN dub. It's a bit of a double standard. I don't think either of them are nearly as bad as people say.
