So I guess we should probably try this again without all the hootin and hollerin.
Since I just got my DAM Blu-Ray in the mail today, my thoughts are as good a place as any to start. I haven't had time to delve into the special features yet, but count me in as one of the ones that think the film looks great. Its not a perfect transfer, no, but its INCREDIBLY clear, and MUCH better than I expected after all the fuss. Its nowhere near the worst looking Blu-Ray I own. In fact, its quite up to par with most of the BDs I own from other films of the time period.
The movie really hasn't looked better and I was already noticing things in the first 10 minutes of the film that I never noticed before.

I agree, it's a great Blu-ray (I only have that, not the DVD edition). I think in my previous comments in the other thread, I may have sounded a bit negative; I guess I did overstate some of the more nitpicky aspects of it. But the good far outweighs any problems, and I do agree it looks great. I still have yet to listen to the commentary and watch through the image gallery.

The DVD Beaver review up on the review comparison page. Maybe they hadn't quite finished updating the page earlier?

They have several screen captures of Media Blaster's Blu-Ray up -- it looks good, particularly when compared to ADV's DVD release[s]

DVDBeaver habitually screws up their Blu-Ray screencaps... check out instead!
Blu-Ray.com also can be depended on for accurate screen caps, as they use a custom bit of hardware to capture the actual HDMI output from a Blu-Ray player. You have to register at their site to see the full-size caps, though.
