Well this is interesting. I picked it up today and read the stuff on it in the booklet and it states that this movie has 8 minutes of footage that has never been released before. What is in the movie that was taken out? I never knew there were scenes missing before.

I don't think so, as it says the footage was lost for decades and restored and inserted in the movie for the Blu-Ray release.

I finally picked this up...I'm watching it now and wow...just wow....the picture quaality is amazing! Watching this movie for the first time since probably 2005 makes me appreciate just how great of a movie this is...this may be the greatest movie of all time as far as I'm concerned.

Now I'm just desperately craving the original 3 Creature from The Black Lagoon movies on blu ray!

Also, allow me to vent for a second here...this movie really has me missing the old pre-Alien tpyes of monster movies....I guess Jurassic Park is the closest thing we've had to a monster movie recently that doesn't devolve into a grotesque blood bath where the monster kills people from the shadows in increasingly claustrophobic corridors or tight spaces...

I want monster movies that yes, are PG-13, family-ish friendly, with a sense of wonder and awe where the monsters aren't just boogeyman who kill relentlessly...oh well, that ain't happening anytime soon
