From the DVD Drive-in website:

"The extras are really special here. A featurette has Ray Harryhausen talking about his mentor, Willis O'Brien and how he came to meet him and the effect he had on his life. Also included is Harryhausen's and O'Brien's full animation sequence from Irwin Allen's THE ANIMAL WORLD (1956) ... Introduced by Harryhausen himself, the sequence (10 minutes) depicts various dinosaurs in battle and eventually dying out. Also included is two bits of animation test footage shot by O'Brien assistant Pete Peterson in the 50s; the first depicts a large mutated baboon ("The Las Vegas Monster") on a rampage, the second brief clip (in color) depicts a race of marching alien creatures ("Beetlemen")."

I'm especially looking forward to the "Las Vegas Monster" and "Beetlemen" test footage. I've heard about this for a long time and wasn't sure I'd ever get a chance to see it. Now I'll be able to own it, in glorious DVD quality! Too much.

Well, that's a damn site better than Gwangi. Too bad it will be in one of those useless cardboard boxes. I'll be a buying this, though!

Sorry, that was the sound of my jaw hitting the floor...That dvd does indeed sound terrific, and is definately a must-have. I haven't seen the flick in many years, and this extra footage sounds very cool. I've gotta admit I don't mind the Gwangi cover that much. It looks okay to me... Is the orignal poster art that great that this new cover looks so awful in comparison? I'm just curious, as I've never seen the original poster.
Still, it's alot better than what ADV did with the 'Gamera 3' dvd. :)
