I read something about there being a few of them at FYE elsewhere. But there's no FYEs around here. So what's the scoop?

I went there last week and saw them. I thought it was rather odd. I went back today and got some pictures with my cell phone. One box contains the three Heisei DVDs, the other box contains GxMG, Tokyo SOS, and Final Wars.

I heard there's at least one more that also contains SOS. If some tins contain duplicates, then I won't bother. That's just retarded.

I say it's just a simple re-packaging, nothing new, to sell more units for Christmas. Heck, If I come across some, I may buy them for gifts as I think they're kind of neat.

Could anyone get the exact UPCs for these sets (and if so, list which goes with which sets). I don't we have any FYEs around here. The pics posted above aren't good enough to read the UPCs.

You know what.... I think I'm going to go see if I can find the "Heisei" tin-set and the 3 millennium films. They'll save me space on my shelf(or are the regular cases inside the tin?), plus I might actually make money if I sell the ones I have on eBay.

FYEs only 10 minutes from here...lol

Am I the only person in the world that doesn't really care about DVD packaging? I'm seeing a lot of companies are re-releasing old DVDs either in steelbook cases like these or just with snazzy-looking slipcovers with the same old DVD cases inside. What's the point? The contents of the discs are what really matter. Cases just take up shelf space. I guess it can be kinda cool to look at DVDs sitting on a shelf together, but ever since I moved into my dorm room all of my DVDs are just piled into a compartment above my closet, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.

If I didn't have so many DVDs, I'd just get one of those CD book things to keep all of the discs in and have the cases recycled or something.

I was in FYE today (looking for the CM boxset) and found another exclusive set. I got pictures again, although this time an employee bugged me about taking pictures. I just laughed at her and kept taking pictures. It sure is a good thing she is also my friend

I actually like the cover art for this tin case.

I got two of the tin-sets today. I got the one that includes the last three Shinsei films, and the other was the one that has the last 5 films in the Heisei era. They weren't $20 like I expected. The one with 3 was $29.99 and the other was $42.99.

Oh well....definitely was wanting them to be $20 each. I'm going to sell the others on eBay.... and the CM discs I have will also be up for auction sometime. Hopefully I'll get back the $80..... probably not, but we'll see.

I also want to say that I barely go to FYE....but that place had TONS of Godzilla DVDS.... the new CM boxset wasn't there though. lol

I could actually use that Heisei boxed set, but not for that price. Too much for what it is plus a tin.
