Who gave Monsters HD a widescreen print of G1985?

Anyway, if prints of G1985 still exist and the rights to the movie have lapsed then Toho can licence that film just as they can the Japanese version. The only movie they can't do that with is KK v G, when the contract was much different and I can't quite remember the specifics. Someone else here can explain it better

It's just a matter of the US DVD company being willing to buy two different versions of the same movie, like CM has been.

Yeah, but Warner is so full of **** recently. First off, they said you can't ask about toons or HD/BR questions in that chat, which is bull. They keep claiming that The Matrix Trilogy and Harry Potter Quadrilogy are comiing out to BR and HD, but not one movie has a date yet. For animation, didn't they say that Foster's Home would be the first CN Season set, yet, EE&E came out? Oh yeah, and didn't WB licensed Sakuya Yokaiden like 4 years ago? WTF is that movie? Right now, I can't trust a word WB says.

A chat transcript from executives from Warner Home Video:

[John_Pannozzi] Any plans for Coonskin, Godzilla 1985 (a.k.a. The Return of Godzilla), the SE of Beetlejuice or Hey, Good Lookin'?

[WARNER] We don't own COONSKIN or GODZILLA '85. We want to do an SE of BEETLEJUICE next year for its 20th birthday. No plans for HEY GOOD LOOKIN', which we DO own.
