Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

These are all over eBay and I was thinking about buying one. They are a lot cheaper than the Criterion discs and as much as I'd love to have these on those nice, ultra quality Criterion releases, they are just simply sooo much money and I don't have it. THe auctions say they aren't boots (although I guess I wouldn't mind too much if they were considering the price), and they come in wooden boxes, but they are R0. Obviously the Criterions are going to be miles better but I'd just like to know if they are watchable enough to buy.


THere's one with 25 movies, one with 20, and one with 8.

So i was wondering if anyone had any info on these or if they are good for what they cost?

I just got through watching the new Criterion Seven Samurai. Don't even bother with any other version.

Save up your $$ and get the Criterions. Most of the fun of collecting's in the anticipation, anyway. Life's too short to watch crappy DVDs...!
