Yeah, a new DVD box of the "Nippon Chinbotsu" TV-series is coming on July 7 this year in Japan, eight days before Shinji Higuchi's remake will have its premiere.

This 9-disc DVD-box is really cheap, it only costs 28 000 Yen (~ 240$). Included are many special features and a mouse pad.

Bizzarre - had no idea they made a TV series out of Submergence of Japan.

Hmmm, doesn't say anything about English subs at cdjapan.

That's right. No subtitles included. But that doesn't matter, I pre-ordered the box already at Yesasia.

I saw a trailer for the series and the special effects looked so great and spectacular as the film from 1973.
