Well, you know what? I'm just happy that these films are getting a decent release. Compared to the way that the Godzilla films have been treated in the past (referring to the old days of VHS), these new discs that Classic Media has produced are a real treat for me, regardless of any serious imperfections. And most of all, the filmmakers, whom I am an avid admirer of, are getting the kinda of respect that has been long-overdue. Critics may still pan the films, and try to damn them to mediocrity, but I'm so well-"visually-read" when it comes to Monster Zero, Godzilla King of the Monsters! and the rest, no one is really going to influence how much I respect messrs. Tanaka, Honda, Tsuburaya and Ifukube. Their movies are one of the top reasons why I've always been so passionate about making movies myself (that's the career I chose for myself, practically from the day I was born).
So, despite the fact that I am concerned about whether or not I am getting the most refined product out there, I'm more interested in seeing Godzilla Raids Again and Mothra vs. Godzilla in what, to me anyway, will likely be the best possible way to see them, just south of the big-screen (which isn't likely to happen anytime soon, I'm sure).
Much obliged to modelfan and armandv.
