Okay, I just spent over a hundred bucks on this.

Why? Well, Sony/Columbia released five Harryhausen films on Blu a few years ago and, according to them, sales weren't good enough - so zero interest in them putting put more Harryhausen on Blu. Sadly, they own
most of his films (btw, time to buy those initial Blu-Rays from a few years ago if you haven't already. They're goin' out of print).
Enter Twilight Time, a specialty company that licenses classic movies that the studios offer them (i.e. ones those studios have
no intention of putting on Blu). Their business model: make exactly 3,000 Blu-Rays, charge around $35, and when they're out of print - they are out of print! I can't fault 'em: they've put out some classic films,
major Oscar winners, that have been released for going on two years and there are still hundreds left in their warehouse.
Trouble is, we genre fans are a needier, greedier breed: hence this movie goin' out of print fairly quickly and me paying an exorbitant price from a scalper. But this isn't just me spending a crazy amount of money: it's a sort of mission statement to stay on top of TT's released of the further Sony/Columbia Harryhausen releases. I can't sleep on those, I'm invested now, get it?
The two '70s Sinbad movies are gonna be released by them this Dec. Don't forget.
