Mike S posted a little update over at the Monster Kid Classic Horror forums. The set is still coming out this year. Dual versions of Mothra & H-Man, BIOS with dual language tracks, and no ROM3 included (as it might be part of its own box set later on).

Any chance that people around here can just take this as a bit of good news without freaking out with unwarranted speculation and rantings of entitlement? :roll:

Correction: THe box set will have both the Japanese and US versions of THE H-MAN and MOTHRA (because of editing differences between the versions) and a Dual Language version of BATTLE IN OUTER SPACE, since there was no footage cut from the US version (although there are differences in the music cues and sound effects).

Sounds good can't wait to get the set even though I really only care about Mothra.

As for RoMIII I'm guessing Sony just might reissue the previous two and do a trilogy set?

I could care less that the third Mothra Rebirth film isn't on the set. Seems weird to get three Tsuburaya classics alongside a crummy children's film from the late 90s. It doesn't belong mixed in with those other films.

It's going to be a long wait for Toho films on American-released blu-ray. Toho may have just mastered the Godzilla films in HD but there's been absolutely no word on blu-ray releases, though in my opinion it's simply a matter of time. But until Toho starts putting these films on blu-ray it will be quite a while before we see anything like that over here.

I know right. I was just getting my dvd collection to a nice size and then...sigh...I'll hold out against blue ray (the disc that walks like a man) for as long as I can, helps that with the economy the way it is I really couldn't afford one anyways.
