Out of all the shows specifically announced so far, Leo and Geed are the only two I definitely do not intend to buy - I've seen them and I was underwhelmed. X and Orb are guaranteed purchases for me, and while I haven't seen anything from Seven through Taro, I plan to buy them all on good faith.

Zero has me intrigued/excited for however it gets bundled; the Ultra Galaxy/Ultraman Zero "arc" was going on when I started checking out the franchise, and played a big part in keeping me interested. The Legends movie, The Revenge of Belial, and maybe the Darklops Zero story are also the only ones I've seen in their entirety, so I'm looking forward to seeing all the installments from that period properly, and on Blu-ray instead of 480p YouTube.

Frankly, I think Toei needs to knock Sentai down to half a year. Maybe do Sentai Feb - July and then Metal Heroes Aug - Jan. Or something because Sentai has been in the trash bin ever since Gokaiger ended.

I think going to half year shows is the best thing to ever happen to Ultraman. The effects and camera work just looks absolutely fantastic as they are doing a full year's budget in half a year. It also means they can tighten up the story telling and have less filler, like Orb did as nearly every episode of Orb advanced the plot in some manner.

I really enjoyed how Leo kept rebooting itself into different formats, flailing in it's attempt to find something that works. I really dig that aspect of it!

I finished Geed today. The movie was interesting. A little slow in parts, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was a little less cliche than Orb's movie, and I liked finally getting to see where the Galactrons that showed up in Orb were coming from, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, the editing was kind of bad. Like Orb and Geed were doing form changes between camera angles, which got annoying, especially when Orb did form changes we have never seen before (like one that is apparently a cross between Ginga and X).

Also, Okinawa, priestess, and lion monster. A totally missed opportunity for King Caesar. Yes, I know Toho owns him, but still.

Orb's additional forms originated in Ultra Fight Orb, which was originally broadcast before this movie came out.

Also, Tsuburaya gives us a beautiful new Shisa kaiju in Gukulu Shisa and your takeaway is that they should have just licensed out a monster from another company instead? I'm not sure there could be a worse take on this movie.

Shisa are ancestral Okinawan guardian spirits/iconography. Toho didn’t create them, and other companies are well within their rights to make their own.

Getting a brand new, beautifully designed, wildly vibrant take on a Shisa kaiju is one of the single best aspects of the movie. Not to mention I was totally blindsided by it as they kept it hidden from all of the trailers.

I'm still watching Ultra Q and I haven't even started Ultraman yet. I'll probably wait until the end of February and get Ultraseven and Return of Ultraman together.

Got my copy in today and watched the first four episodes. The PQ is amazing colors are vibrant and really pop and there's hardly any DNR on the release. This is my first time really going through the series. I want to say I watched the first three episodes before on the DVD release Shout put out as they all seem familiar. I know I've seen the second episode before on TNT back in the mid to late 90s when they aired the show regularly.

Overall I'm really enjoying the show. My only complaints are that they don't tell you the kaiju/aliens in the show after the theme song like they did in Ultraman.

Also,went to 2 Walmarts hoping to find it there, but no dice. Neither one sold anything Ultraman.
