My Frankenstein CTW DVD came today! (apparently shipped seperate from Space Ameoba)

Haven't watched it all the way through, but I've checked the picture and some of the special features, quite a comprehensive picture gallery!

Though, I have looked at the scene before, this is the first time I am watching the battle between Frankenstein and the octopus in a great looking print! And I must say that it was very well executed!

I thought the octopus looked great, and with the exception of Ray Harryhausen, I can't think of anyone in the West doing this certain scene just as good as Tsuburaya and his crew did. However, I could understand why Henry Saperstein did not use it for the American release. Absolutely zero build up!

I've watched the US version, Japanese version, the octopus ending, and all the special features.

I've gotta say this is a terrific DVD surpassed only by CM's Gojira/Godzilla release.
