I already own Planet of the Apes '68, but I couldn't resist all five films for 25 bucks. I tacked on a copy of Alien vs. Predator for 5.99.

I picked up Konga over the weekend at Big Lots for $3 (yay another AIP movie). It's the seperate release pictured above rather than the Midnight Movies double feature with Yonggary. It's part of a recent shipment of DVDs to Big Lots so if you have a BL nearby and want a copy of Konga you might stop by and have a look.

I still need to get Yongary sooner or later, it's too bad MGM doesn't have the movie available by itself, but I don't mind rebuying Konga to get Yongary.

It's a shame that Konga is nowhere as cool as that movie poster. The first time I had the chance to watch it was in the Midnight Doubles set. I'm glad I didn't buy it just for Konga. :)

THE HUMAN VAPOR and THE MAGIC SERPENT! Two genre films I've still yet to see and am looking forward to. I also picked up another edition of FINAL WARS, as the subtitled one I'm currently using had gotten all scratched somehow. Grrr.
