I've finally cracked this open and recently finished the first disc. Oh man, it is as good as I thought it would be. You can tell it is by the same studio as Ultraman and Ultraseven, but each episode feels more standalone, sort of like an anthology of strange short stories rather than a series following a hero. The subtitles are sort of half-assed, but in terms of video quality I haven't noticed anything horrible. I'm sure the problems mentioned are there, but perhaps I'm just not looking for them.

Also, the turtle episode... whoa. That was a trip (of the psychedelic kind). Who needs drugs if you can watch this show?
