The Wizard of Speed & Time!!! I had forgotten about this amazing little movie. Found I had a dupe of it on VHS that I unearthed in my basement whilst moving a few things. (I may have to hold onto both the tape and my old VHS player forever it would seem, as a quick internet search shows that apparently WIZARD doesn't appear to have ever even had a formal DVD home release, let alone a well-done, fully restored & remastered Blu-ray edition. Egads!) For the love of Heaven, the genre-loving junkies over at Shout!Factory absolutely NEED to get this awesome film out there to the masses!

Warners is prepping Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), which is a favorite of mine, for Blu release.

After releasing At the Earth's Core Kino will soon release The Land That Time Forgot in their endless quest to cover all your Doug McClure meets dinosaurs needs.

Heads up: Twilight Time's preorders of First Men in the Moon and Journey to the Center of the Earth starts at the end of this month. You'll probably have several weeks before they sell out, but don't wait too long!

Knowing Twilight Time's game, this time I am prepared (unlike last year with "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" :( )

I would pay top dollar for a Reptilicus bluray with the US version and the original with all its scenes and musical number
I've never seen Tentacles

I've never seen Tentacles, but the VHS recording of A Christmas Story off TBS that I watched every year (sometimes more than once) had a little station announcement for a weekend double feature of Orca and Tentacles. "Henry Fonda and Shelly Winters face a giant octopus in Tentacles!" is everything I know about Tentacles.

Anyway, I'd appreciate the original Danish version of Reptilicus, but I'm perfectly content with a nice-looking Blu-Ray copy of the American version, which I'm pretty sure is what we're getting.

BTW - Warners has said they're ramping up catalog titles on Blu this year through the Warner Archive and plain old Warner Home Video (Hammer Horror, Humphry Bogart, ect.). Word through the grapevine is that THEM! and The Thing From Another World are in the works.

What I'd really like is a big box set of all of the Warner held Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen films that aren't on Blu yet: Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, The Valley of Gwangi, Son of Kong, Mighty Joe Young, The Animal World, The Black Scorpion, and The Giant Behemoth. You could call it 'Masters of Stop Motion' or something, maybe include the original Kong just to round out the set with another iconic film.

and anything else I missed that MB had released on DVD that is now out of print.

Also:

The Big Sleep
In a Lonely Place
Brute Force

Angels with Dirty Faces
The Asphalt Jungle
House of Bamboo
Gun Crazy

Dark House
The Raven
White Zombie

Star Wars OT theatrical versions

And of course, any Godzilla movie that is not already out on BD.

^Things are looking good for The Big Sleep and Key Largo. Those are major Bogart films that WB is likely to release soon, as they've mentioned they have multiple Bogart titles in the works.

I keep posting that Olive Films is releasing It! The Terror From Beyond Space on Blu in May, but the posts keep disappearing!

Maybe this one'll stick.

Any classic genre B-movie fan should be in Blu-Ray heaven these days, between Shout Factory, Olive, and Kino.

I really need the original versions of The Outer Limits and Mission: Impossible on Blu-Ray right now. If MGM won't do anything with Limits then they need to let Shout! or another company put it out. There are (or were) HD transfers of M:I on Netflix so maybe Paramount is just waiting on the next film for a tie-in release.

Have we mentioned the Lost in Space Blu-Ray set coming later this year?

Another upcoming blu-ray that doesn't seem to be mentioned either is ROBOT JOX. Shout Factory announced it back in October and their blu-ray release is currently set for a summer release. I know that plenty of people were wondering if MGM would release a blu-ray a couple years to ride the wave of Pacific Rim publicity.

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

Heck yeah! I saw Robot Jox at the Alamo Drafthouse back when Pacific Rim came out. It was awesome (they had a whole lineup that month of awesome giant monster and giant robot movies). Will definately be keeping an eye out for this!

I watched the first episode of U.F.O. On hulu recently and it looked like it was probably HD. But with hulu's crappy compression and less than reliable streaming consistency sometimes it can be tough to say for sure. Nt sure if that's even one of the shows coming to DVD or not.

That is one sexy cover. I really could use a bluray of Buckaroo.
