The same guy who posted the Gamera Guardian of the Universe review has posted his Legion review too. Awesome! I like this guy's style.

As for the last movie on the disc. Overall seems that this movie actually looks worse than GOTU. A shame..... Millcreek why couldnt you have done fans a favor and released the two movies on seperate discs? Bleh....might be a pass for afterall! Like seriously this set seems barely better than ADV's dvd set. Artificating? Sound issues? Terrible grain? hmm.....

EDIT:
But for the price......it may be negotiable. If i can find this at my local retailers for less than 15 bucks i might be hooked in. But until then i might want to skip this lol

In both reviews the author makes note of the light black levels. I wonder if MillCreek got the HD masters from Kadokawa and then didn't bother to make any tweaks to the contrast/black levels for the American market. I know I've said here before, but the calibration standard for TV black levels in Japan is slightly different than here in the states, causing any media (dvds, blurays, etc.) you buy from Japan to look a little faded/washed out on an American tv. I know the couple of Toho blurays I have look MUCH better when I make small adjustments to my tv calibration to compensate for the slight difference. I bet these would too...

We do do calibration at work, but it is expensive. However, that is something I would wait for until I get a new TV.

BTW, I never use the factory settings, as I do play with the brightness/contrast/tint/etc when I first turn on the TV. Usually The Simpsons is what I use for my reference due to their yellow colored skin.
