So each movie is on its own disc...

Except for SOS, that means I can stick the discs into my Toho BD cases. Awesome!!

Ok...why the hell is 2000, GMK, and GxMG being skipped? Is there any explanation for this Keith.... Suck for me because the 3 are my favorite from the recent series...

Awesome that each movie is on its own disc so when they release the others you can just buy blank BD cases and make custom cover art for them and put them in chronological order.

EDIT: Just compared the runtimes from the DVDs to the new BDs and it looks like they'll have complete credits this time. The run times are a minute longer than whats on DVD so unless Sci-Fi Japan made a typo which I'm sure they didn't then we can assume that they'll have the complete credits.

There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Why are they "jumping around" movies with this release?

Also is the run-time of Destoroyah including the full credits this time?
It says anamorphic widesceen, so Godzilla & Mothra the Battle For Earth is finally widescreen?

My guess is that we'll see 2000, GMK, and GxMG when the new Godzilla movie hits video in Aug/Sept.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Kraken were to announce Son and MechaG for that time as well.

Fast & Furious 6 came out roughly around the same time as Godzilla last year and hit home video in December. Aug/Sept (ESPECIALLY Aug) seems really early.

Yeah, 3-4 months after theatrical release is the standard interval for home video releases nowadays irrespective of a given movie's box office take.

Keith when you talk to Sony again could you ask about the Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy? RoMIII still hasn't had a proper home video release here in the US. I'd like to get those as at some point mainly to show my Niece whom I'm sure would love them. A BD of the Icons of Toho set would be nice as well.

To bad CM isn't going the BD route with their titles maybe some company will sublicense them like Criterion did with Godzilla/KotM.

Classic Media would probably use those hideous old MonstersHD transfers for the English versions, anyway.

I'm not saying you have to abandon DVD, but my question was asking who the hell buys just a DVD packaged on its own? Most movies are packaged as DVD and BD combo packs. And saying BD is expensive media is bullshit. You can get a BD player at Walmart for $35. Regardless, are you saying there are still people willing to spend $17 on a DVD when the BD/DVD combo pack is $20?

Well whatever. If Classic Media doesn't release the movies on BD, then it means I do not have to be tempted to support an "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" company like them.

Now for VHS, I dumped that crap like it was a hooker full of STDs when DVD came out. I hated VHS even when I was 8. The picture looked like crap. The tapes deteriorated over time. Sometimes it would get stuck in the machine and you would have to lose a part of the movie to fix it. The same tape always looked different on each player. Tracking. God I hated Tracking. That was the worst aspect of VHS. Oh yeah, and then rewinding the tape was annoying as ****.
