I'm not saying you have to abandon DVD, but my question was asking who the hell buys just a DVD packaged on its own? Most movies are packaged as DVD and BD combo packs. And saying BD is expensive media is bullshit. You can get a BD player at Walmart for $35. Regardless, are you saying there are still people willing to spend $17 on a DVD when the BD/DVD combo pack is $20?
Well whatever. If Classic Media doesn't release the movies on BD, then it means I do not have to be tempted to support an "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" company like them.
Now for VHS, I dumped that crap like it was a hooker full of STDs when DVD came out. I hated VHS even when I was 8. The picture looked like crap. The tapes deteriorated over time. Sometimes it would get stuck in the machine and you would have to lose a part of the movie to fix it. The same tape always looked different on each player. Tracking. God I hated Tracking. That was the worst aspect of VHS. Oh yeah, and then rewinding the tape was annoying as ****.
