Media blasters was at the chiller show and contrary to rumors...no AIP dub on the reissue of Destroy All Monsters.they had a few on the table Friday. Just the japanese and toho dub. So hold onto your copies if you have it...

Were they selling the Megalon disc with the extras again?

^ Considering there is nothing on the package to tell it's the extras version, and only like 500+ were made, I'd say the likelihood of that is next to impossible.

No more of the MEGALON with extras at the con...just the regular ones. So glad I picked up a few before they vanished. The collection of trailers is great (there are some trailers on the main menu and a hidden Easter egg with way more) The commentary is good , tho they should really take lessons in public speaking...while their deliver has improved, they are both still rather stiff. Still, better than the MONSTER ZERO commentary..never made it thru that one without going into a coma... :|

Both MEDIA BLASTERS reps said the same thing about DESTROY ALL MONSTERS...no A.I.P. dub. If that is true, its too bad. It is one of a handful that is actually quite good. Many fond memories of hearing it in the theater.

Glad I have the original issue...the extras are great...LOVE the old radio spots ("it could happen...it MAY happen")

Hey everyone --

Didn't see anyone mentioning this anywhere else, so thought I'd drop in and let interested parties know that Wal-Mart stores now have a Godzilla display featuring a load of Sony, Classic Media, and Kraken titles. But the real gem is they have stocked Media Blaster's DESTROY ALL MONSTERS DVD for only $9.98. Nothing for MEGALON, and neither on Blu-Ray. So if anyone doesn't already have it or doesn't want to wait until the apparently 'suggested' street date of July, have at it! :D

I've been into 3 area walmarts.
couldn't find the Godzilla display for the life of me at 2 of them.

found it at the third one....stocked with copies of Spider-Man and The Hobbit.

At this point, f*** that place....actually double-f*** that place because I've said, "F*** that place" in the past as it's essentially the worst place on Earth. I'm ordering what I want online.

Picked up three of the four blus back when they first popped out. Went back the other day and got TokyoSOS/FinalWars but the display was replaced with the Monuments Men and I haven't seen the Kracken releases anywhere near me.

My local Wal-Mart did not have the Godzilla endcap set up when I stopped by yesterday. I was very disappointed. Hopefully the endcap will be set up soon -- it'd kind of frustrating that stuff can be set up in some locations of a nationwide chain but not others.

Also, I'm disappointed in my local K-Mart as they have none of the Godzilla toys in despite K-Mart running an ad until June 2 showing 15% Godzilla toys.

My Wal-Mart had a Godzilla end display in their media area and I scored big. I bought $8 BD of the Kraken releases (sure I already own them but it's an investment...lol) Here's a picture of the set up. The Sony BD were up front in a different rack, and there were a few empty spots which if I read the tag right was for Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster and GMK. I did manage to snag up a copy of one of 2 copies only of Destroy All Monsters on DVD. No Megalon and no 2 pack or Blu-Ray.

Hey, jelly, which ones have you checked? The walmart at 99 and bellaire had the Godzilla aisle display with the sony discs a couple weeks ago. I stopped by there again yesterday to see if they might've gotten the Kraken discs but no luck. Also, the Godzilla display has had the art changed to monuments men. There were a few of the sony blurays left but most of them had been sold.

Simon is right. They were $5. The Kraken DVDs were $5, BD $8. Destroy All Monsters on DVD was $9.96.

Cool, thanks for the info on the in store prices. It's not unusual for Wal-Mart to have different prices in stores and online (the online prices tend to be a littler higher on things like movies, but not always).

So I see the preorder for 12.99 at frys: http://www.frys.com/product/8122415?sou ... hcQ0Dw_wcB
vs 26.99 at amazon. Is that the best deal so far?
