At one CHILLER show, the folks at MEDIA BLASTERS were selling the MEGALON DVD with extras in paper sleeves to get rid of them, since they could not distribute them any other way. 10.00 a disc . I picked up 3...lol Even got an extra DESTROY ALL MONSTERS blu for 15;00 at the table.

Between the copy Zack stole from under me and that revelation from nicecubes, everything makes sense now. Though I wonder if the dude made an offer for a ton of copies, because he certainly couldn't be profiting that much when several of the copies with real discs he's selling were only going for $20-24. Even at $33-36, those aren't huge profit margins.

Looks like the new DAM DVDs and blurays are shipping out. Apparently, Toho was nice enough to let them keep the original AIP dub track for their new discs but stripped out all the remaining bonus features. Still found it just a little baffling they didn't let them include the trailer Toho supplied them with but oh well.......anyways, I'm now starting to wonder if we'll get Megalon before July as well. Only time will tell.

If the new DAM Blus really do have the AIP dub, and the original one is still considered remotely a collectible, I'll sell it off like nobody's business and buy the new one.

Do you think they'll correct the audio flubbing in the beginning of the AIP dub? I'd be willing to double dip if they do.

It's the same audio track from the previous bluray. This question was addressed on their facebook page. They made no improvements to the flubbing at the beginning of the film.

The artwork is pretty much the same as the previous versions.
So unless you sell your old copies before July, the previous version is going to drop in price.
Since not that many people know about the differences.

BTW I saw a DVD version of Destroy All Monsters (the Media Blasters one) at a local used video store.
It was priced at $92...

Blu-ray.com just updated their artwork for the Blu. Meh, I liked the coverart for the DVD release a lot more.

Didn't Toho ask specifically for the japanese theatrical posters to be used for the cover of these releases? I think I read that when DAM was released...
