Sony licensed a ton of catalog titles to Mill Creek within the last two years or so, and Mill Creek has released them on both DVD and Blu-Ray.

They've also released films both on DVD compilations and separate Blu-Rays. I'd love to see them release Mothra and the other films from Sony's 'Icons of Sci-Fi' set on Blu after the great job they did on Gamera and Daimajin.

I spoke with Classic Media today about Godzilla. Not too much to report, but they are planning to reissue some of their 2006-07 Godzilla DVDs to coincide with the theatrical and home video releases of the Legendary/Warner Bros' GODZILLA.

Yeah, I need a new copy of Mothra vs. Godzilla (my Japanese version has a glitch that skips like 8 minutes of the film), but I've been kinda holding out hope that I can get it on blu...

At best, we might get Mill Creek multi-packs of the films Sony still has. If Mill Creek does release any of them, hopefully they'll use the newer Sony masters of the Heisei films, with the complete credits.

Germany has the best kaiju releases, period. Their Kaiju Classics and Gamera steelbooks are amazing.

I'm curious, are any of these German blurays region free? And what language options are there - do they have English dubs or subs? Original Japanese audio? Finally, where can I find out more about what films are available? Thanks for any help in advance. I've heard things like this before (I specifically remember someone posting about a Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster bluray) but never seen and concise information about how to find out more about these releases.

^All I know is that a German Godzilla fan happened to cross my path one day and I couldn't help notice that the most delightful aroma hung in the air for several minutes afterward.
