If that Destoroyah pic is from how it should look vs the BD, then yes, that is definitely bad. So I concede to that. However, I would rather have my fingers and penis cut off before I ever praise a dub for any Godzilla movie dubbed thus far.

Klen, I grew up on the dubs too, doesn't make them good. I was just more tolerable of them as a kid because I was younger. When I hit 18, I couldn't stand these movies dubbed.

Wasn't there a color issue with the US release of Tokyo SOS, Sony taking off some color filters on shots (I remember Mothra being in most of them and loosing their orange-ness)?

As for the dubs, I love having a dub to pop on in the back ground. If I want to sit down and WATCH the movie, I'll go subs, but dubs are just convenient.

i actually prefer the Showa dubs I need the dubbed voice of the corn eating hippie to perfect the movie watching experience of Godzilla vs Gigan. Also I like the Godzilla vs Biollante dub as well.

I understand the appeal of watching them in the original Japanese -you get to hear the original performances. But I don't understand the malice for dubbed versions. Are the original films really that good that hearing English voices come from the actors' mouths completely ruins them? I simply prefer watching these movies dubbed. To me, the dubbing is part of the cult appeal of Godzilla movies.

And Doc, if you wanna emasculate yourself, go right ahead. I'll just be sitting here enjoying GIGANTIS.
