I'm late to comment on this, but I have a Sony BDP-S570 blu ray player that frequently (like almost every time you cycle power) will balk at playing ANY blurays, though DVDs always work fine. It will just say it can't play the disk, but I found some write-ups on the issue online (apparently it's pretty common) and you have to jump through some hoops in the settings to tell it not to look for info on the internet or somesuch... I forget the exact wording of the settings but I can jump in and change things just because of muscle memory because I've had to do it so many times. What sucks is it just won't hang onto that setting, you have to do it every time. It also seems to be unable to connect to my wireless network now, although the password hasn't changed and all my other devices work fine.

I have another newer Sony player that I've just never bothered to hook up to the network and it so far has never balked at any of my discs.

So, apparently stores underestimated the renewed interest in Mad Max and now copies of these movies are out of stock and third party sellers are inflating the prices of Blu-Rays which just a month ago were all going for $10 or less.

The one place you can still find The Road Warrior and Thunderdome for those low prices? Dig through the $7.98 bin at WalMart!

Warner Bros. let this Blu-Ray go out of print a few years ago for some reason. Thankfully, they've just rereleased it!

Picked these two up on amazon. Got the Riddick movies for under $20 used and BB $14 new. Funny thing is I had to return the Batman Beyond disc because, while still in the shrinkwrap, there was an inch long tear on the cover.

If you haven't checked out the Super Cheap Blu-Ray/DVD thread, I just bought the Shout!'s double feature DVD of the two 1979 Captain America tele-movies (Captain America and Captain America: Death Too Soon) -- Wal-Mart reduced their price to and Amazon is price matching (Prime shipping eligible to boot). Look out for the late Christopher Lee up as the villain in the second tele-film.

And thanks to Bigjim25 over at Blu-ray.com's forums, I bought The Six Million Dollar Man Complete Collection for $99.99 (free shipping too!) down from a regular price of $240. The Time-Life webstore has it and some other complete series sets on clearance at big reductions from TimeLife.com's normal prices. The Complete Collection is only available through Timelife.com (outside of resellers on ebay, Amazon, etc. {watch out for bootleg sets when buying elsewhere}), and with it getting a clearance status I just couldn't wait any longer.

You can buy the 5 individual season sets anywhere (and spend a bit less depending prices) but you'll miss out on most or all of the extras -- probably the biggest extras you'll miss out on are the 3 reunion movies.

Bigjim25 also pointed out 3 other clearanced sets if anyone is interested, all with free shipping available:

-The Real Ghostbusters Complete Collection -- regular $179.99 - clearance price of $99.99

-China Beach: The Complete Series -- regular $179.99 - clearance price of $99.99 (there's also a 25th anniversary set reduced to $175 {$275 regular} with some additional extras if anyone wants to compare)

-Power Rangers: From Mighty Morphin' to Lost Galaxy -- regular $219.95 - clearance price of $149.99 (looks to have some exclusive extras)

^3rd. It's the 2nd with Lee: the first sequel, Brides of Dracula, followed Van Helsing fighting other vampires. Prince of Darkness is the first one to bring Dracula back to life.
