Am I the only person in the world that doesn't really care about DVD packaging? I'm seeing a lot of companies are re-releasing old DVDs either in steelbook cases like these or just with snazzy-looking slipcovers with the same old DVD cases inside. What's the point? The contents of the discs are what really matter. Cases just take up shelf space. I guess it can be kinda cool to look at DVDs sitting on a shelf together, but ever since I moved into my dorm room all of my DVDs are just piled into a compartment above my closet, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.
If I didn't have so many DVDs, I'd just get one of those CD book things to keep all of the discs in and have the cases recycled or something.
