You heard that right. The alien invaders are making a third attempt to take over the world before their planet gets sucked into a blackhole. So what do they do? They of course resurrect MG and form MG 3. This time though they fuse the designs of MG 1 and MG2 giving them all the powers and abilities of the two versions in one vicously deadly bot of sadism. However the Earth people aren't going to stand for this so they enlist the help of their own champion bot Heisei MOGUERA!. NOw here are the rules. Both bots are the same size, the battle takes place in the heart of Tokyo and Jet Jaguar is not involved who will win?

Woah woah woah! When did MOUGERA become Robo-God all of a sudden? If I recall correctly, a few well-placed hits from Space Godzilla were enough to put the robot in serious trouble. It is in no way invulnerable.

Keep your spiral grenade missiles. Mechagodzilla 75 had (a basically unlimited arsenal of quick firing) missiles capable of lifting entire city blocks into the air. That alone is enough evidence for me to believe that Mechagodzilla walks away from this fight victorious.

I mean, buildings freaking exploded from a brief touch of his eye lasers! He cut an 'effing-damn midget-mountain in half with the chest thingy!

Mechagodzilla has the firepower advantage here, as he is able to fire beams and solid projectiles at a startling rate of speed, His weapons are powerful enough to level entire cities within minutes...and you want to make him bigger?

I hope to god that that size increase doesn't come with a power increase, because the lethargic, clunky MOUGERA is totally screwed if that's the case.

A well placed spiral grenade missile might end this fight in favor of Mr. Drilllyface, but it's much more likely that the quicker-on-the-draw, slightly-more-agile-than-most-robots, "I-have-guns-in-my-friggin'-hyphenated-knees!" Showa Mechagodzilla blows him to bits first.

MOUGERA's seperation into the Land MOUGERA and the Star Falcon is another thing that could work in the human robot's favor, but I can't see it winning the fight for him.

Neg, MG should play the firepower game. It's entirely in his favor.

If Moguera splits in two, MG just has two targets. MG can hit two targets at once, too. MG's missiles would do a number on the burrowing mecha, and the flying one did not seem very powerful at all.
Moguera loses use of its chest cannon and spiral grenades when it splits - not a good thing for its balance in the firepower exchange.

Moguera's crew would be fighting back, of course. However, MechaGodzilla has pretty tough armor. Scale it up to Moguera's size and its armor thickness improves. Moguera's armor is probably comparable, but didn't show any sign of being superior. It also has a built-in weak point at its center; the flip-out ray cannon echoes MG's red chest zapper, but occupies a greater area. Hence, it is a greater vulnerability, and an appealing target to something that's already got a wicked rate of fire.

Point about the woodpecker drill noted.

Point about MG being easily distracted not ceded. MG was easily able to shoot Godzilla and KS at the same time. MG has also shown the ability to both rapidly hit jet planes and shift targeting across multiple buildings in a very short time. The helicopter was not a "distraction" in that it was the only Earth machine present at the time, and it was attacking MG's partner.
Godzilla's re-appearance was surprising - he was supposed to be finished. Him busting out of his earthy tomb was the big "hooray" moment of the film.

MG took repeated rams from KS and still managed to get the upper hand. The only time it suffered greatly from concussion was during the blast caused by its and Godzilla's rays locking. MG's arms are also better articulated than are Moguera's. MG-in-disguise did manage to beat up Anguirus pretty easily, showing decent dexterity for something with missile launchers for hands. Moguera, on the other limb, has no hands at all.

That's true. Forgot about the spiral missiles. They do produce a force...a great one. Don't they explode too?
