Garuda goes kamikaze and destroys SG's shoulder crystals, cutting off the power supply, Mechagodzilla then goes all out Plasma, Megabuster, missiles, and eye beams to achieve total obliteracy.

According to the film, isn't M.O.G.U.E.R.A. actually more powerful then Mechagodzilla?

Regardless, I give this one to Spacegodzilla. I think his telekinesis and regeneration powers will give him the edge here.

Hmmm, crystals which have been shown as somewhat fragile, versus a mecha with rapid-fire missiles and penetrating shock anchors. I give MG a decent chance of wearing down SG's shoulder crystals, and the lesser flying crystals would be a cinch for energy beam shootdowns. Godzilla was not able to hit all the flying crystals, but he only had the one ray. Neither could he fly. The crystals would make a good distraction, though.

SG's corona beam might be twisty, but I've seen no evidence that MG's energy-absorbing armor was only fitted to the front of the mecha. It would be distinctly illogical to half-step in that area, especially given Godzilla's known powers and scrappiness. MG's armor held up very well until Godzilla got Radoned and developed end-of-the-movie powers. Mogs got an arm torn off and didn't stand up to energy hits consistently.

The flying woodpecker probably had more thruster power than MG - though I really see it needing a booster to get into space - but its weapons did not seem to be an improvement over MG's array. Spiral Grenades had good punch, but so did Plasma Grenade shots, and they were effectively unlimited. MG's wider array of weapons ought to make it a more serious foe for SG.

As for SG spearing the mecha with his tail, I cannot play my tapes at this time. I think I recall the tail penetrating Mogs through its deployed chest weapon - a weak point. I'm not sure on that detail, so it needs confirmation/denial. MG seemed pretty solid and durable, holding up well even when shut down, so I'm cautiously in favor of it withstanding SG's physical attacks at present.

If SG gets mental powers, the MG crew gets Mikki and her psionic ears. I'm not sure the mind games would be a good addition to the scenario, quite frankly.
