Ok, now Walmart used to be cool but it seems no one wants one in there town or city anymore. The thing is, once its there, its there to stay. So who would you like to win?

Part of the stuff leavened at Walmart is the instinctive disdain of the commoner for anything larger than he or she can personally grasp. It's the same thing that makes religion more popular than science.
That said, cities should drive out their Walmarts and then deal with the loss of jobs. 'Serve 'em right.

Except that those people could have been employed, for higher wages in the stores Walmart drove out of business (remember when Walmart used to proudly proclain most of their goods were manufactured in the USA? Not any more!).
It's lazy people that shop at Sprawlmart, people that NEED convenience over spending a little time travelling.

Quite frankly, there are plenty of people for whom those kind of jobs are about all there is. Not every person working at such a store is in that shape, true, but at least in all the ones I've seen there are a large number of employees who might be... difficult to place in an executive level, so to speak.
Those people want to work. More power to them for that. Let the individualswho hate big companies take care of the unemployed extras if they're so adamant.
