It's true! I don't know if someone got carried away with a certain Sci-Fi channel movie, but one was caught yesterday. From NBC5:

CHICAGO -- A fish known for a voracious appetite and ability to wreak havoc on freshwater ecosystems has been found in Chicago's Burnham Harbor.

An angler caught an 18-inch northern snakehead last weekend. He thought it looked so peculiar that he packed it in ice and posted a picture of it on the Internet.

State biologists confirmed Thursday that the fish was a northern snakehead. They immediately made plans to scour the harbor near Lake Michigan with electric cables to try and discover if others are there.

Scientists describe the northern snakehead as a "Frankenfish" for its ability to survive in oxygen-depleted water, move from pond to pond and eat other fish.

I didn't do it! I swear!!

You'd think if snakeheads were as tasty as tehy were made out to be they would be completely hunted out from the areas they've infested. I mean we are human beings we kick ass at wiping animals off the face of the earth...
