Q: Would domestic pets be bothered by a wild animal in their midst?
A: Absolutely. I live in an area that has Coyote, fox and any number of wild critters wandering around. Dogs and cats FREAK OUT when they come around.
Q: Would a wild animal wander into a populated area with that little caution?
A: NO.
These two points alone tell me this creature is nothing more than a well known (to the neighborhood pets, at least) Domestic animal.
My opinion and I'm a Staunch believer that there are thousands of undiscovered species out there, is that this is nothing more than a Mongrel Dog with a bad case of Mange.
The Asymetrical pattern of the fur is a dead givaway on that..
