I still don't understand why, if they claim all U.S. rights to Macross, they don't just make peace with the Japanese company and license and release all the Macross stuff and put out both Macross and Robotech lines? Do they hate making money?

Too bad their silly little attempt at a lawsuit against Hasbro didn't go to trial last year. Hasbro could have bought them outright, then we could have "possibly" new Robotech, and an official release of Macross sequels.
"Love Live Alive" or whatever that crap was they marketed last year as an "all-new original movie" was the last straw for me.

Can someone explain this Robotech/Macross dilema? All I know is that Robotech used Macross and several other series to make Robotech (I prefer Macross btw) and now its a huge "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!".
ALSO; They wanted to sue Hasbro?! I assume its over Leader class Jetfire being released this year.

Back in 2002 Harmony Gold allowed AnimEigo to release 9 DVD's in boxed sets of the original SDF Macross. If Japanese BDs exist of Macross at this point then I don't see why they wouldn't try to license BDs of it in the future. Especially if this kickstarter fails (which I think it should, but we can only hope).

I would love to see another Robotech series continuation. They really need to finish Shadow Chronicles though.

Yeah, but nobody (besides Harmony Gold) could even bring out a Blu-Ray release of SDF Macross.
Since ADV went kaput, and the "successor" Section 23 might not even have the rights to do it now.
