I'm a new old Ultraman fan! God, we've been starved in the US for Ultraman episodes and movies on video! Last weekend I went with some friends into Chinatown into the heart of the beast and spied out some interesting Ultraman DVDs only released in HK. I snatched them up and have been gettign caught up on all I have been missing! These shows are great!

I have found the Ultimate Ultraman site a great help in setting the episodes in their proper context.

We used to get Ultraman on TV after school in the 70's and I loved them then. Now the dearth is over, let the splurge begin!

welcome back to Ultraman, Bob!

http://www.waynebrain.com
http://www.henshinonline.com

these are a couple great sites dealing with Ultraman and other Japanese sci-fi/fantasy.

ebay is also a great source for Ultraman dvds. I've come across the original Ultraman series Japanese dvd releases(although my timing is always off and i miss bidding on them :( ), I've seen the Ultra Q dvds and UltraSeven dvds(the recent mini-movies/episodes). Type in
"Ultraman dvd" in the ebay search and you'll get a bunch of hits there. I've also seen the American "Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero" official Hong Kong VCD releases on there recently.

Long live Ultraman!

Rob! It's you're website to which I was referring above; not Ulitmate Ultraman but rather Absolute Ultraman!. What a great site! Thanks for the info and service!

I became aware of Ultraman in 1986, but at the beginning of 1991 (when I was still a teenager living in the Bronx), I went down to CreationCon with my mom, and I got a bunch of stuff to entertain me. I got the first issue of Markalite Magazine (which singlehandedly captapulted me into tokusatsu fandom) and two videos, Ultraman (English-dubbed, Eps. 1-5) and Voyage Into Space (the compilation of Giant Robo/Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot)! And I still cherish them to this very day.
