Netflix Ultraman Anime - Ultraman ja nai!
Posted: Tue Apr 02, 2019 9:13 pmI watched the first three episodes of the new Ultraman Anime on Netlfix Monday night. Now, I've skipped over to Episode 10. This is NOT Ultraman.
Ultraman saved the lives (of most) human beings from dying due to their sacrifice or Ultraman's mistake. They lived symbolically and the host was given a way or device to call Ultraman to appear in times of need (i.e. giant monsters).
This new series, Ultraman is a young man who is encompassed in a metal suit to master his super strength. Also, he is human-sized. His opponents are, too.
This is Japan's version of IRON MAN. And so far, it just two mechs beating the hell out of each other. If I wanted to see that, I'd watch an Avengers movie.
OK. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but this is dreck. Just like the Godzilla anime. Where were they thinking??
