That's pretty awesome. Judging from this translation, Ultraman has held this record for the past 12 years, receiving the award for the first time in 2001.

who s counting what?

All ULTRAMAN series plus Ultra Q series makes 28 series....

While the super sentai series which started in 1975 with GO RANGER then JACKER in 1977, then starting with BATTLE FEVER J in 1979 to this day has never stop ...that certainly put the Toei Super Sentai (Or should I say POWER RANGERS) over 30 series and plus....

So who s counting....

Last time I checked they also had James Bond as the longest movies series of the same caracter produced by the same studio.....

That honour should go to Godzilla by Toho 28 films and i m not counting GINO and the next G.

i d like to see their count ....

Do they count stuff like the Ultraman kids?

They should count the original ULTRA Q ...there was several monsters that returned in the ULTRAMAN series (take RAGON for intence)
and several in ULTRA GALAXY and ULTRAMAN SAGA.

Still Can t get to 27 though....???????????????

It doesn t matter ...I m still happy for them ......Now with this honour they should produce a good show after that pitiful for 3 years old kids GINGA series.
