A lot of these early episodes I just kind of breezed through. They seem kind of half-baked...the show really hadn't hit its stride yet.

Narse is kind of cool, but you're right in stating that its relationship to the alien really isn't explained very well.

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

This one didn't really do anything for me. I think Narse is a cool concept, but its execution was pretty bad.

It certainly wasn't anything special, just a decent half-hour's entertainment.

I am generally pretty forgiving of poorly executed effects if I like what they're trying to pull off.

Me too which is why it's odd that I even cared. I dunno, I've stated plenty of times that the first 20 episodes of Seven were hit and miss with me. I think it just took a while for the show to click with me, I think if I watched that episode again I'd enjoy it more.
