Anyone here not into Ultraman as much as they hoped?

Is there anyone here who would love to be an Ultraman fan, but for some reason, have trouble getting into the shows? I mean, I watched UltraSeven as a kid, enjoyed it, imported some of the R2s a few years back and could not really get into them. Then I liked Ultraman Tiga when I first got the DVDs, but I tried to start rewatching the show a few days ago and could not get out of the first few episodes. I haven't even been able to fully sit through a different series. I guess Ultraman just isn't for me no matter how much I try to really get into the series.

I still like Ultraman quite a bit, though I don't have this all-consuming urge to see every single series and movie that I had many years ago.
I can still go back to my dvds - the original series, Tiga, the few volumes of Ultraseven, Ace, Taro and Return of Ultraman, and I still have some volumes of Max and Mebius to get through too - though I'm not in a hurry to do so right now. I did watch the '70s anime series a few months ago and really enjoyed it, and I'm re-watching Ultra Q right now. So I may revisit some other Ultra shows fairly soon.
But while I can see myself watching the old shows again, I can't seem to get motivated to check out any of the more recent stuff. I think the last movies I watched were The Next and one of the Ultra Brothers flicks, and that was a few years ago. I've seen a few snippets here and there - some Ultra Galaxy, bits of the Zero movies, but I'm not chomping at the bit to see them.

I've never had a problem getting into it, the difficulty is my actually sitting down to watch a bunch of episodes.

I'm still "into" Ultraman, and will be for the rest of my life. It was certainly one of the high points of my childhood, and I will always have a love for the work of Eiji Tsuburaya and his heirs. I'm not as fanatical about picking up everything I can get my hands on as I used to be, but I can't imagine a time that I won't be looking to add to my video collection.

Man, rewatching the final battle of Ace episode five this morning... Guys, I REALLY love Ultraman. I am the very definition of being in opposition to the nature of this thread.

I was a fan since I was a kid so I had no trouble getting into it as it featured my favorite thing in a sci-fi movie: monsters. I've liked most of the shows that I watched, with the exception of Ultraman Mebius, which just didn't do much for me.
