That would indeed be a great film. I have seen that Max episode, though it's been awhile, and remember enjoying the heck out of it.
I too, am getting sick of all these huge event movies. It feels like something Marvel or DC would do in their comics right now or in the early 90s.

I'm inclined to give Battle in Hyperspace another chance. My major problem with the Ultraman films is that most of the time they're just rehashes of the same, tired formula. Maybe I'll get into that more later.

Though they are "available" subtitled, I've never given the COSMOS films a watch, seeing as I've never seen any of the series. The Showa films I've also not given much attention to, seeing as they are mostly compilation pieces.

Ultraman Dyna: Return of Hanejiro (another OVT, but one of the worst things to ever befoul my eyes)
I might be done with these movies for a bit, and go back and watch some of the shows. I dunno...I'm just gonna bounce all over the place with this Ultraman stuff.
