[quote="Thomas"]This is another great episode. We get a new awesome kaiju in Geronimon. The return of Pygmon and subsequent loss of Pygmon. New and shockingly powerful Science Patrol weapons. The Science Patrol getting to be effective and deadly. Ultraman gets a good match out of Gernimon. Most importantly the story arc of the character Ide comes to its climax.
Throughout the series we the audience have seen the Science Patrol using their various weapons and mecha to take on the plethora of monsters and aliens out to upset the balance of life on earth. Most of the time the Science Patrol’s weapons are not enough to take care of the threats posed by these monsters by themselves. After trying valiantly against their foes Ultraman arrives and takes the monster out. In some cases the Science Patrol assists and turn the tide of battle in favor of Ultraman and they have managed to kill a few monsters on their own (Magular and Gigas spring to mind) but for the most part it is always Ultraman who wins/saves the day. In this episode we see the character Ide, who has been the main force of weapons tech innovation for the Science Patrol, go through his crisis of confidence. His innovations have worked in the past and have definitely been a boon to the efforts of the Science Patrol but it is Ultraman that the victories really belong to. Ide for the lack of a better word snaps. Eager in the first act of the episode to get Pygmon’s voice/message translated Ide starts to fall apart once he starts working on the translator and maintenance of the weapons and comes to the conclusion that “Ultraman doesn’t need us.â€

This is an okay episode, I'm not that big of a fan, but there's something soo goofy and, by extension, amusing about Pigmon that makes the episode more fun. My only complaint is that I wanted to see more monsters of that supposed 60 monster army.
