I've seen these Volume 1 sets in Books-a-Million as well, kinda weird since Mill Creek's Complete Series set is only $12 on it's own!
Speaking of which: I got the Mill Creek set last Fall and have just now completed the series. I'd seen all of the episodes over the years except the last nine, so it was a great pleasure to finally see those. The subtitles were distractingly off on two episodes so I switched to the dubbed version for those. Some points:
1- I really loved how the makers got more experimental as the series went on. There were a lot of interesting suprises in the second half of the series.
2- What happened to Hoshino? I was near the end of the series when I realized he hadn't been featured for a while.
3- What a great series finale!
