Greenscreening is a necessary evil, not an ideal solution. Greenscreening is the work of the devil. If it takes twice as long to set up a practical effect, set up the practical because it will very probably look better 90% of the time.
That said, here is a shot from a greenscreen shoot we had to arrange to cover for a matte plate that was deemed unusable.

Dude, that looks awesome! The camera angle's really nice. It managed to make little suits look like huge beasts!

Just looked at this thread for the first time in a while.
Wow! Jared, I can really see your progression as a film maker dude. Some of those pics...the angles look insanely nice. The minatures look fantastic and dare I say that Ultraman, at least in one pic, actually looks like Ultraman and not just your take on him. Seriously, looks like the Type A Ultraman. Congrats!
