Original Ultraman non-SP Insignia ???

This question has been bugging me since I first started watching the show in 1972. This morning I finally remembered it while I'm on line, so I've decided to ask if any knows this... Who's insignia is on the doors of the Science Patrol car along with their shooting star/arrow? (The design shows the Earth with three Saturn-ish rings surrounding it.)

In the early 90's, when I became exposed to later entries in the Ultraman cannon, my guess was maybe the TDF (Terrestrial Defense Force)? But I can't help thinking I've read or heard that that agency wasn't created until 1967 for the UltraSeven show??? I give up. Help!

TIA!

That is the symbol of the International Scientific Police Organization, a branch of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), based in Paris. ISPO is umbrella in which the Science Special Search Party (or Science Patrol), which branches around the world, operates. Hope this answers your question.

Mahalo!

JN,
You're welcome! Good luck on the model-building! BTW, the ISPO's badge is the Shooting Star, worn by Science Patrol members. The ICPO (Interpol) flag does not bare a badge, either:
