That's because two different men who worked on ULTRAMAN have passed away in the same week: Composer Kunio Miyauchi and director Akio Jissoji.

I know. I was referring to this one man having two different threads, that's all.

That's sad news. I loved Miyauchi's Ultraman music, as well as his score for G's Revenge and his Spectreman themes - especially Dr, Gori's song. Some wonderful tunes there.
And Jissoji's Ultraman eps were favourites of mine as well. You could always tell his work from the odd camera angles and close ups. They're great fun to watch. 'A Present from the Sky' is a great episode - it's one of my favourites of the original series.

Sad to see another great Ultraman legend pass into eternity.

Miyauchi-San's music is a benchmark that has rarely been met and probably
not surpassed.

His themes in Ultraman are especially enduring.

Thank you Miyauchi-San for helping to make Ultraman so special to me.

Rest well my friend,

Rob Dagg
