This was back in May (I just found it on the UltramanLah! message board), but it seems that Tsuburaya has been giving it another go against Chaiyo in court!

(Even in the translated Japanese section of the document, there are plenty of the same glaring errors in the English section, such as Ultra Q being called "Ultraman 1: Ultra Q," Ultraman as "Ultraman 2", Ultra Seven as "Ultraman Seven", and the Tsuburaya "logo" on the document just doesn't look right.)

I wouldn't be surprised if the lawsuit is still going on right now!

I don't see how the contract is valid if it was drafted by a non existant company: Tsuburaya enterprise. But thats just me.

Indeed - I hope Tsuburaya is able to resecure the trademarks and copyrights to all the characters Chaiyo absconded with. I've been sorely tempted to buy BCI's release [since it's legal as far as the Japanese courts are concerned] but haven't yet, as I'd much rather buy a genuine Ultraman release that Tsuburaya helped to put together.
