The series really kicks into high gear with Volumes 8 and 9, introducing Kikaida's arch-nemesis -- his evil "brother" Hakaida! Hakaida is one of the most popular Toku villains of all time, and remains that way to this very day.

Well, maybe you have bad taste if you don't like it, because KIKAIDA was extremely popular in Japan and Hawaii, and still is today. :D

Well, my DVD's are on the way. I am very excited to see them. I hope discovering this show as an adult will be just as much fun as discovering it as it would be if I was a kid. LOL.

There were several used for action scenes and one with light-up eyes for close-ups. I say "several", because these were fragile on account of the clear dome, and would break easily. I think I have counted about four different heads -- the basic head is the same, but what make them different are the innards for the clear dome.
