Sounds crazy, but I just watched the first episode of Max, and I think I like
Ragorath pretty well. Dinosaur-ish, but he's got a Hammerhead shark kind of thing going on and it looks cool overall. I mean, some kaiju I like for story, but I did this one just because of his design.

Oh, and just so I can say I posted a pic...

Oh man, somebody posted however-the-heck-you-want-to-translate-his-name from Max! I love that dude so much! His Evo form is pretty damn cool too. Also, I used to own him in vinyl form and so regret the day I decided to sell him and Grangon. Try finding one for sale now (once you decide how many Rs and Ls to use), I dare you. Will never have again. :(

Contrary to my current username, I wasn't always a fan of Ultraman. I was aware of it, sure, but serious interest never started until Nexus. Yeah, that show had its share of problems but the dark storyline and nightmarish monster designs appealed to me in the era of Final Wars. The first one to leave a real impression on me and provoke name changes from Giganzilla was of course... Pedoleon.

Not particularly intelligent or involved in a crazy story, he was more or less an eating machine. There was no face to garner sympathy, no dinosaur awakened in modern times story. There was only tentacles, and that mouth. If it had you, you were going to get a MUCH closer look at that mouth and then you were done. And if the first one got blown up, you'd better make sure all his buddies were dead too.

Ragorath and Grangon were a fantastic pair! That whole episode was just EXCELLENT all around. Perhaps not one of Kaneko's best works around (though episode 36 is! ) but definitely a solid entry.

Bullmark's Twintail and Gudon. These are B-Club/Bullmark repros from the original moulds, and stand approximately 9" high. The originals were produced in 1971, when the series was on-air.

I'm starting to come around on Ultraman Taro (While inept, it is insane), and this guy absolutely contributes to this:

His episodes are hilarious, and nothing is funnier than Ultraman Zoffy's appearance. It's like the ultimate red-herring.

Hey, I originally scanned cropped, color corrected, and sharpened that Birdon photo for my blog's Happy Thanksgiving message for 2009 (at least Monster Awarness gave proper credit)!
