I got some new "info" on KRDK - it seems Sci-Fi got outbid by a certain company for the rights to the show.
But I can tell you this - it ISN'T Disney. According to the source, the Sci-Fi channel/USA, MTV Networks, Disney/Buena Vista, and FOX were after the franchise, but after much debate, only one took it....and it came out of left field.
I won't say who supposedly has the show now, but it seems that they'll let the cat out of the bag late this year, along with another live-action Toku adaptation currently under the US radar...but very popular in Japan.....
Kamen Rider Dragon Knight will have a booth at the New York Licensing Show, though it's been reported that the network won't be shown or revealed.
Also, some new info on the show itself:
The pilot was only for show, similar to MMPR's "Episode 0", where beta actors were cast in prominent, important roles for idea purposes only. The pilot's lackluster visuals, though, were a deception - the final first episode is said to have better acting and better special effects done by "
a team of professionals who've worked on other popular science fiction shows"....wonder what shows?
Also, the show won't be marketted towards the young demographic like PR is - it's for older demographics like MMPR was(18 - 25).
Sounds a bit promising, don't ya think?
