A lot of time has passed, Jelly Donut, and your time to be "wowed" by ULTRAMAN is long gone. For the folks who grew up watching the series when it was "new" (between 1968-1980 when the series was in active syndication), we were blown away by this show. ULTRAMAN was the one that started it all — and when we were watching it, there weren't that many Japanese heroes for him to compete with. now, 45 years later, I don't think anyone expect to be "blow" away. But, if you dig Toho's fantasy films of the 1960s, you can see how well ULTRAMAN fits right in with them.
