KILLER THE BEATSTAR teaser up for download over here:

And here are some screenshots:

Man, I'm not really getting how people can get more excited over this than ULTRAMAN SAGA. I mean, I can see how that happened with the gaiden and the movie last year since they were showing us so much about the former and very little of the latter but KILLER THE BEATSTAR looks to be a return to HIKARI SAGA and ARMORED DARKNESS production values. Maybe we're just seeing a tiny bit of what will actually play out on screen but if it's an accurate representation of what we'll be getting, well, I just can't get excited over dimly-lit, barren wasteland sets. Mind you, that one set where BEATSTAR is chilling at does look kinda cool, there's some nice camerawork going on, and I AM looking forward to another adventure with Ultimate Force Zero, Princess Emerana, and Zap Spacy, but it's not enough to curb my distaste for the visuals we've seen thus far. I need some convincing before I'm fully behind this project.

But, TPC, you're really good at proving me wrong. Please do so with this. Please.

yeah that fist bump is interesting. I wonder how will they explain the appearance of Cosmos in this movie if they show the Land of Light? They need to work on some story hurdles for sure.

Awww. You see that? Gubira's not such a bad guy after all! He's just misunderstood!

Sure, his predecessor and hundreds of other monsters die a terrible death, but at least Cosmos saves something!

(I never got the Cosmos hate, as a character anyway. Never seen much of the series.)

EDIT: Corrected my kaiju identification fail!

Gesura, really? It's Gubira! Stupid mistake. Or all aquatic daikaiju look alike.

The "pacifying Belial" idea is an interesting one, but Belial is a cash cow as far as villains go and Tsuburaya (and Bandai!) aren't going to let go of him that easily. Not without a proven big bad to take his place in the movies for a while.

Am I the only one who'd kill to see another 2 part Special that detailed Belial's rise to power (meeting Darkgone and Iaron, creating the army of Darclops and Legioniods, and delving deeper into his need for revenge)?

I dunno. I just feel like his character could use more exposition.
